I wanted to create a jewel without limits.<\/p>\n
This design is also a transformation piece in multiple ways. It takes my jewellery and myself out of my comfort zone and to a higher level.
\nAnd a butterfly is also a symbol of transformation.<\/p>\n
The deathhead butterfly also represents the impermanence of life to me.
\nWhich was always an inspiration to me, even when I was a child.
\nDeath is not the end of things but a new beginning. Like a faded flower and a sunset.<\/p>\n
It’s just the circle of life<\/p>\n
You can wear this design as a brooch or pendant.<\/p>\n
She is made of 18k yellow gold and Howardite quartzes, the black skull and black part of the wings are made of ebony wood which I shaped myself. The black wings have inlays of 18k yellow gold.<\/p>\n
And on the back of this butterfly I have incorporated a seedling which is my signature piece.
\nIt is placed in a UV resin.<\/p>\n
